This year, Saturday race day will feature a new twist with the NASCAR Nationwide Series competing in the Irish Hills for the first time in June. The Nationwide Series will celebrate its 20th year of racing at MIS in 2011. Fans will see many of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ top stars go head-to-head with the Nationwide Series regulars in what makes for a great day of racing. Kids 12 and under are free on Saturday’s. Junior pricing for 13-17 are half price in any reserved seat.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to the Irish Hills on Father’s Day with the running of the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400. NASCAR stars, such as former MIS winners Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart, return to MIS for another action-packed day of side-by-side racing. With great camping, affordable adult prices, kids 12 and under free in general admission seats, half off in any reserved seat for juniors 13-17, free parking and the ability to bring a bigger cooler with your favorite food and beverages, MIS is the perfect summertime destination for fans in 2011.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be making its first appearance at MIS in August with the running of the VFW 200. The Camping World Truck Series puts on some of the best racing MIS has to offer every year with many races featuring some of the closest finishes in track history. The 2011 racing season concludes with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 400. The Sprint Cup Series stars always end the MIS season with an exciting finale, featuring many lead changes and exciting finishes. In 2010, Kevin Harvick won his first Sprint Cup Series race at MIS and also gave owner Richard Childress his first MIS Cup victory since Dale Earnhardt Sr. won in the Irish Hills 20 years before in 1990.
